Senior Material Program Manager

They are seeking a Senior Material Program Manager to manage supply chain tasks in support of production and sustainment contracts, ensuring material requirements are met and overseeing supplier performance.

Responsibilities
Ownership of performance across both domestic and international supply bases to include performance, quality, affordability, and delivery
Develop and execute strategies to perform and meet the Program’s needs and requirements
Lead robust and challenging negotiations across the supplier base to meet the Program objectives
Lead by influence in a matrixed organization
Have frequent engagement with PMO and our Customer through execution of the contract
Provide accurate forecasting and realization of sales and additional financial metrics
Creates, manages, and executes MPS (Material Program Strategy and the MPP (Material Program Plan) to enable successful execution of program competitiveness and performance; from the front end of the business through contract closure
Monitoring and proactively addressing performance and financial metrics including those related to cost, schedule, quality, and EVMS
Collaborating with other programs to maximize efficiency of program execution including commonality
Overall ownership of the supplier management process including supplier performance, SCM metrics, international issues, Make/Buy Where strategy, strategic agreements, and communication of customer flow through requirements such as FAR/DFARS, ITAR, offset, public law, quality, warranty, etc
Qualification
Required
A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
Experience in supply chain and related systems, procurement, MRP, receiving, cost estimating, and/or finance
Experience with supplier management and/or subcontract management
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
DoD Clearance: Secret
Preferred
Material sales forecasting experience
Experience negotiating contracts
Experience with Microsoft Office software applications (Word, PowerPoint, and/or Excel including Pivot Tables)
Prior work experience with Earned Value Management
