Senior Studio Operations Manager

Directorie is a virtual organization specializing in commercial life science brands, and they are seeking a Senior Studio Operations Manager to lead their in-house creative team, SpecOps. The role involves managing a team of project managers and creative professionals to produce high-quality marketing materials while ensuring adherence to project budgets and timelines.

Responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day running of SpecOps; managing all operations, making full use of project management tool and internal processes
Manage the multi-disciplinary SpecOps team which may comprise of a range of project managers, copywriters, graphic artists, editors, and digital/video developers, setting daily priorities and supporting ongoing digital and print production
Manage all aspects of the budget for each project, along with financial tracking and controls, and ensure team time allocation and reporting in accordance with the budget
Assess, interrogate, and clarify project requests and assign the appropriate team members to a project based on skillset and need
Clearly communicate the client and project needs to the SpecOps team to ensure the work meets the agreed project details
Proof and review deliverables before they are shared with the CE team and client
Create and implement forecasts, resource plans, timelines, and budgets in partnership with CE team, and define the underpinning decisions that led to them
Establish deadlines, project goals, expectations and workflows, to ensure a smooth production process with on-time and on-budget delivery
Curate image libraries and video, artwork, and branding assets
Ensure files are stored and named according to protocols and timesheets/invoices are completed effectively
Manage procurement of printing, shipping, licenses, etc
Follow systems and processes so that SpecOps and CE are informed and connected
Participate in contractor identification, portfolio review, hiring, and onboarding
Focus on the personal and professional development of the SpecOps team
Maintain healthy relationships with CE partners to stay informed and proactively plan SpecOps resource requirements and skill gaps

Required

Bachelor's degree in creative or management related fields
5+ years of experience in a production team management and/or graphic design management role within a pharmaceutical marketing agency or related industry
Strong understanding of pharmaceutical industry guidelines and regulations
Proficient in creative production development processes
Working knowledge of creative applications, including inDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat and Microsoft Office applications, as well as general art file and press preparation, web development, and CMS programs
Experience working at a print house is a plus
