Responsibilities

Develop and implement warehouse policies, procedures, and operational guidelines to ensure efficient and safe warehouse operations, compliance with regulations, and customer satisfaction

Plan and coordinate the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, materials, and products

Optimize warehouse layout, storage systems, and workflow to maximize space utilization and productivity

Manage and lead warehouse staff, including hiring and training

Monitor inventory levels, stock movements, and replenishment activities, conducting regular cycle counts, audits, and inventory checks to maintain accurate inventory records and prevent stockouts or overstocking

Experience managing the logistics of domestic and international shipments in support of clinical and commercial production

Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and carriers to schedule inbound and outbound shipments, track delivery schedules, and resolve logistics issues to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of goods

Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, sales, and customer service, to coordinate inventory planning, order processing, and customer delivery requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives

Develop contingency plans and risk mitigation strategies for emergencies, disasters, or disruptions to warehouse operations, such as power outages, equipment failures, or supply chain disruptions

Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in warehouse management, participating in training programs, seminars, and professional development activities

Required

Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field and a minimum of 5 years of related experience

Proven experience in warehouse management, distribution, or logistics operations

Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management principles, logistics processes, and supply chain best practices

Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite products and working knowledge of various operational software systems including ERP software

Team management skills, with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop warehouse staff, fostering teamwork, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement

Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities

Experience with inventory control and logistics coordination

Strong initiative and desire to work in a fast-paced team-oriented, and dynamic environment

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to multitask

Efficient time management and strong organizational skills. Attention to detail and quality are critical to success in this role
