Responsibilities
Lead and support capital markets transactions , including:
Forward flow agreements
Loan purchase & sale agreements
Warehouse and other financing arrangements
Partner with Capital Markets, Finance, Risk, Compliance, and Operations to close transactions efficiently
Advise on investor due diligence, reps & warranties, and servicing requirements
Support equity fundraising activities (Series A+)
Provide general corporate legal support (governance, commercial contracts, cross-functional projects)
Help maintain compliance within a partner-bank lending model
Improve legal templates, playbooks, and internal processes
Qualification
Required
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
Active bar admission in at least one U.S. state
4–7 years of experience (law firm and/or in-house)
Strong background in capital markets / structured finance involving consumer or SMB credit assets
Strong drafting, negotiation, and prioritization skills
Comfortable working in a high-growth, early-stage environment
Preferred
Fundraising experience (Series A or later) is a plus
Familiarity with consumer lending regulations (Reg Z, ECOA, FCRA)
