Delivery Lead
EFESO Management Consultants is a global leader in operations strategy and performance improvement. The Delivery Lead is responsible for driving significant growth and leading complex client transformations within the Process Industry practice, while establishing the firm as a thought leader in the sector.
Responsibilities
Serve as the trusted advisor to C-suite and senior VPs (Operations, R&D, Sustainability) at major CPI clients, guiding decisions on capital allocation, portfolio shifts, and operational footprint
Lead the diagnosis and resolution of the most critical, complex client problems, which often include: Process Optimization: Driving significant Operational Excellence initiatives, including Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) across production sites
Define and articulate the strategic vision for client projects, overseeing the development of high-impact, data-driven solutions and managing implementation risk
Own the delivery of all projects, ensuring that final recommendations are technically sound, commercially viable, and lead to measurable, sustained client value
Proactively identify, qualify, and lead the pursuit of new business opportunities
Define and execute the regional or functional growth strategy for the CPI practice, aligning market opportunities with the firm's service offerings
Lead the development, writing, and presentation of compelling proposals, statements of work (SOWs), and pitches that clearly articulate the firm's value proposition
Oversee strategic client relationships, ensuring portfolio growth and deep penetration into critical accounts
Author high-impact white papers, presentations, and industry viewpoints on key CPI trends (e.g., advanced materials, digital manufacturing, regulatory shifts like TSCA/REACH), elevating the firm's brand and creating client demand
Lead, mentor on professional development and provide deep technical guidance and mentorship to consulting teams, ensuring consultants develop expertise in core CPI domains (e.g., process safety, continuous process improvement, supply chain logistics)
Contribute significantly to the firm’s thought leadership, developing new service offerings, methodologies, and publishing relevant industry insights
Drive the creation of proprietary methodologies, benchmarking tools, and digital solutions tailored specifically for the chemical industry
Participate in firm-wide strategic planning, recruiting, and practice development initiatives to ensure the sustained growth and reputation of the firm
Qualification
Required
Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a closely related technical field. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, Master's in Engineering)
Relevant professional certifications (e.g., P.E., Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt)
Minimum of 20+ years of progressive experience, including at least 8 years in a leadership role focused on the Chemicals or Process Industries (e.g., Oil & Gas downstream, Specialty Materials, Petro Chemicals)
Demonstrated knowledge across Operational Excellence (e.g., process design, reliability, maintenance, yield improvement)
Proven success in leading and managing full-cycle consulting projects (from sales/scoping through final delivery and evaluation)
The gravitas and credibility to engage peer-to-peer with CEOs, COOs, and Chief Engineers
The ability to leverage complex operational data to quantify opportunities and build robust business cases for strategic investments
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentation and negotiation skills
Proven ability to build, maintain, and expand deep, trust-based relationships with clients
Skill in driving organizational and cultural change within historically assets-heavy and risk-averse environments
