Security Analyst

Responsibilities

Monitor security alerts, logs, and system activity to identify potential threats or unusual behavior
Investigate security incidents and support incident response activities, including documentation and remediation
Conduct regular vulnerability scans and assist with patch management and risk mitigation efforts
Support the implementation and maintenance of security tools, including endpoint protection, SIEM, and identity management solutions
Assist in developing and updating security policies, procedures, and best practices
Partner with IT, compliance, and operational teams to ensure secure system configurations and adherence to security requirements
Participate in security awareness initiatives and provide guidance to employees on safe practices
Support audits, assessments, and regulatory compliance activities as needed

Required

Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
2–4 years of experience in information security, cybersecurity, or IT systems support
Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS Controls)
Experience with SIEM tools, endpoint security, and vulnerability management solutions
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail
Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non‑technical audiences

Preferred

Security certifications such as Security+, CySA+, CEH, or similar
Experience in healthcare, compliance‑driven environments, or working with sensitive data
Knowledge of cloud security principles (Azure, AWS, or similar)
