Responsibilities

Manage import shipments from booking through final delivery
Track & trace international ocean and air cargo
Prepare, review, and process import documentation in compliance with U.S. and international regulations
Communicate with customers, carriers, overseas offices, and internal teams to ensure smooth cargo flow
Ensure timely freight release with ocean and air carriers
Invoice customers accurately and on time
Provide exceptional customer service and resolve shipment issues proactively
Support new account implementations in collaboration with the Sales team
Build strong relationships to increase customer satisfaction and account retention
Contribute to team goals and participate in continuous improvement initiatives

Required

3+ years of experience in import operations / NVOCC or freight forwarding
Strong understanding of international trade regulations and documentation
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Experience with freight forwarding systems
Understand Ocean carrier landscape and relevant tools to use
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Strong customer-service mindset
Ability to prioritize, problem-solve, and work independently
Team-oriented with a positive, solutions-driven attitude
High attention to detail and strong judgment in decision-making

Preferred

Multilingual abilities are a plus
Flexibility to support business needs, including occasional overtime or weekend coverage
