Estimator - Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers - Spring 2026

Kiewit Corporation is seeking an entry level Estimator to join their growing Estimating Group within Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers. The role involves reviewing contract documents, performing quantity takeoffs, and collaborating with estimators and engineers to provide input on project plans.

Responsibilities

Review, analyze, and interpret Contract Documents (RFP, specifications, etc.)
Perform all tasks related to quantity takeoff and pricing of design-build projects in the infrastructure market
Coordinate with estimators and engineers/designers to provide constructability input and value engineering for preliminary project plans
Participate in Task Force Meetings, brainstorms, and working sessions with estimators and engineers/designers
Identify, quantify, and communicate Risk throughout the estimating process
Performing site visits and investigations as needed

Required

0-2 years' experience in estimating
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products (e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Possess strong mathematical and computer skills
Must be able to meet deadlines
Effective oral and written communication skills
Candidates must possess a strong work ethic
Work independently as well as part of a team
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies
Must be willing to travel as the job requires
Regular, reliable attendance
Work productively and meet deadlines timely
Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment
Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies
Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required

Preferred

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related degree preferred
GPA above 3.0 preferred
