RCI-FB-67654-1 Sales Category Manager
Rangam is seeking a senior Sales Category Manager to define and execute go-to-market and sales channel strategies for new consumer hardware products. This role involves collaborating with Sales, Product, Marketing, and Engineering teams to drive launch readiness, revenue growth, and market adoption for emerging hardware categories.
Responsibilities
Define go-to-market and channel strategies for new hardware products
Decide where to sell, how to sell, and which markets/retailers to prioritize
Own the end-to-end path-to-purchase and launch readiness
Lead and support global product launches in collaboration with cross-functional teams
Analyze sales performance, market trends, and customer insights to optimize strategy
Track and report on key performance metrics and launch success
Manage launch budgets and ensure ROI-driven decisions
Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field
8+ years of experience in category management, product marketing, product management, sales, or GTM roles
Strong experience launching consumer products (preferably hardware)
Proven ability to work cross-functionally and manage complex stakeholders
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills
Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
Preferred
MBA or Master's degree
Experience with 0–1 product launches
Background in consumer hardware, wearables, AR/VR/MR
Startup experience
Experience spanning both Product Marketing and Sales
