Responsibilities
Develop and maintain backend services and APIs for Starburst's data platform
Build features related to identify and access management. (IAM), data governance, and query optimization
Collaborate with UX, product, and security teams to deliver intuitive and secure user experiences
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, observability tools, and platform reliability
Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and cross-functional planning
Support product systems and troubleshoot performance issues in distributed environments
Qualification
Required
Authorized to work in the United States and ability to obtain Public-Trust Clearance
Develop and maintain backend services and APIs for Starburst's data platform
Build features related to identity and access management (IAM), data governance, and query optimization
Collaborate with UX, product, and security teams to deliver intuitive and secure user experiences
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, observability tools, and platform reliability
Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and cross-functional planning
Support product systems and troubleshoot performance issues in distributed environments
Familiarity with Azure Cloud Services and DevOps Practices
Prior experience building distributed systems or working with cloud-native architectures
Familiarity with authentication and authorization frameworks
Experience with CI/CD tools, containerization, and infrastructure automation
Understanding of data platforms
Excellent time management and organizational skills

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
8+ Years of experience
At least 3 years of experience using Starburst Galaxy and/or Starburst Enterprise Platform
This role requires you to live within the United States
Evidence of work authorization upon employment is required in compliance with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986
Completion of USCIS form I-9 will be required to verify employment eligibility within 3 business days of the first day of employment
This position may require Public Trust clearance
Candidates must undergo a background investigation, including a review of employment history, education, criminal record, and financial history
Employment offers are contingent upon successful passing a public trust clearance process
