Responsibilities

Define, execute, and continuously improve the company’s IT strategy in partnership with the SVP of Data & Information, aligning technology initiatives with business goals and growth plans
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of two IT Support Specialists by setting priorities, monitoring workloads, ensuring high performance, and promoting cross-training and skill development
Develop, review, and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices while maintaining comprehensive IT documentation and a centralized knowledge base
Oversee IT helpdesk operations, ensuring timely resolution and strong end-user experience, while serving as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues and providing hands-on support as needed (in person, remote, and phone)
Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes, including hardware set up, account creation, and access controls
Manage IT asset inventory, including laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and related equipment, ensuring accurate tracking, lifecycle management and replacement
Ensure a stable, secure, and scalable IT infrastructure, including networks, systems, endpoints, and cloud environments
Own IT risk management by ensuring systems meet security, compliance, and performance standards, including oversight of cybersecurity tools, vulnerability management, audits, access controls, firewalls, firmware updates, endpoint security, and Microsoft 365 security configurations
Own IT budget management, including forecasting, cost control, and spend optimization
Review, approve, and reconcile IT invoices while ensuring cost-effective technology decisions
Manage vendor relationships, contracts, renewals, and licensing
Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and best practices, recommending and implementing improvements that enhance efficiency, security, and scalability
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management

Required

A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or similar
4+ years of relevant IT experience, including 3+ years in a people-management or leadership role
Proven experience in supervising and leading distributed teams, fostering a collaborative environment, and driving performance through effective management practices
Exceptional ability to provide technical support for helpdesk requests for Windows 10, 11, Microsoft 365, 3rd party apps, Software, and hardware deployments
Ability to manage Microsoft 365 tenants, cybersecurity apps, manage firewalls and firmware updates
In-depth knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networks
Experience managing and supporting systems using remote access and remote management tools, including TeamViewer, Splashtop, NinjaRMM, and Microsoft Intune
Ability to determine IT needs and train end-users
Ability to keep up with technical innovation and trends in IT support
Training end-users on hardware functionality and software programs
Monitoring hardware, software, and system performance metrics
Updating computer software, as well as upgrading hardware and systems
Good written/oral communication, analytical and organizational skills
Excellent Customer Service skills
Problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Preferred experience setting up users and security groups in various IT systems - Example: NetSuite, Rent Manager, Azure - Exchange
