Responsibilities
Lead the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements for ownership and coordinate with external accounting firms as necessary
Identify opportunities to improve procedures across all accounting functions, designing new workflows to enhance efficiency and systems
Implement and lead the company's budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure sound financial planning
Directly supervise the accounting team, handling everything from hiring and training to performance appraisals and work direction
Partner with ownership and administrative staff to support organizational goals and maintain high levels of professional integrity
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ years of experience within the construction industry or a closely related project-driven field
Ability to manage, train, and develop accounting teams
Proven ability to resolve complex operational problems
Strong business acumen and analytical skills
Ability to align financial reporting with strategic goals to drive profitability
Preferred
CPA license
