Focus exclusively on labor negotiations and collective bargaining
Communicate effectively with both sides of the table
Operate independently with little oversight
Regular travel throughout Washington is mandatory
Qualification
Required
5+ years of collective bargaining experience is strongly preferred
Competency to run bargaining sessions independently from day one
Extensive experience representing employers or unions in bargaining and negotiations
Ability to provide legal advice and counsel on NLRA issues
Strong communication skills and a personable demeanor
Impeccable drafting skills, specifically with contracts and collective bargaining agreement language
Member of the Washington State Bar Association (or able to obtain Washington State Bar Association membership within a reasonable period)
Washington resident, or planning to relocate to the Seattle area
Interest in joining firm membership, given Summit's all-member model
