Responsibilities
Sourcing new investment opportunities
Identifying and evaluating certain industries and individual stocks for further diligence
Working with the Portfolio Manager on constructing financial models and doing primary research to evaluate publicly traded US and Non-US equity securities on current and prospective portfolio investments
Performing financial analysis, industry research, competitive research and general due diligence on investments
Perform primary research such as channel checks, expert network interviews to form investment thesis without relying on sell side research
Writing detailed investment memoranda that supports a buy/sell thesis
Qualification
Required
History of working well in smaller, entrepreneurial environment
Must have a passion for investing and the public equity markets
Prior Hedge fund analyst, sell side, and/or private equity investment experience
Strong academic credentials. Looking for candidates that think out of the box, perform their own research and don't
Relevant work experience: 10+ years of work experience in sell side equity research, private equity, buyside, or hedge fund
Blue Grottos offices are in Atlanta, so relocation is eventually required if candidate lives outside the Atlanta area
Preferred
Prefer candidates that have expertise and experience in Consumer Discretionary, Consumer staples, Industrial, Materials experience
CFA preferred, but not required
