Regional Sales Director
MES is a leading provider of innovative LED lighting & controls solutions, seeking a sales leader to drive revenue growth through customer relationship management and product promotion. The role involves developing a comprehensive sales strategy, leading a high-performing sales team, and ensuring customer satisfaction while adapting to a fast-paced and competitive environment.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with company goals and lighting industry trends
Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing sales team (account managers, business development, inside sales)
Set clear KPIs, quotas, and performance standards to achieve revenue goals
Conduct regular pipeline reviews and forecasting to ensure consistent performance and goal alignment
Identify new revenue opportunities in commercial, industrial, distributor, and OEM lighting channels
Build and expand relationships with major distributors, contractors, architects, designers, and national accounts
Lead negotiations of large contracts, bids, rebates, programs, and partnership agreements
Stay current with LED lighting technologies, smart lighting, controls, and sustainability trends
Partner with product development and engineering to guide future product roadmaps based on market needs
Analyze competitors, pricing trends, rebates, and utility programs to maintain strong competitive positioning
Implement sales processes, CRM utilization, and reporting standards for accountability and efficiency
Collaborate with Marketing to drive lead generation, campaigns, and brand presence in lighting verticals
Align with Operations and Fulfillment to ensure accurate forecasting, inventory planning, and customer satisfaction
Oversee key customer accounts, ensuring high service standards and long-term partnerships
Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and national lighting associations (IES, NALMCO, etc.)
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred)
7–15+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in the lighting, electrical, building materials, or energy solutions industry
Proven track record of scaling sales teams and achieving multi-million-dollar revenue targets
Strong understanding of LED technology, distribution networks, rebate programs, and commercial lighting markets
Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
