Responsibilities
Assists execution of the environmental component of an ESH Program inclusive of technical and administrative aspects
Assists development and implementation of Environmental Management Plans, associated environmental plans and procedures, and training program
Provides input to Engineering, Construction, Procurement, Subcontracts, Commissioning, and other groups to assure that environmental requirements are integrated within project planning and execution
Interprets environmental requirements and provides guidance on risk assessment and program execution
Researches issues and regulatory requirements and prepares documentation and reports
Supports environmental permitting, studies, risk assessments, and reviews involving site conditions, natural resources, cultural resources, and communities
Participates in emergency response and incident investigation and resolution
Participates in meetings with customers, team members, subcontractors, permitting agencies, and other stakeholders
Conducts inspections and environmental monitoring and sampling to help identify risks, confirm the effectiveness of mitigation measures, and assess compliance with contract, regulatory, project, and Bechtel requirements
Provides guidance regarding environmental mitigation, permit conditions, sustainability concepts, and protection of environmentally sensitive areas, species, and communities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science degree (or equivalent) from an accredited university or college in an applicable technical discipline such as environmental science, ecology, biology, natural resources, or related disciplines
Four or more years of experience related to applicable environmental sciences or regulatory requirements
Ability to understand and apply organizational and regulatory requirements
Experience with environmental impact assessments
Analytical skills related to sampling, monitoring, and recordkeeping
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and support multiple shifts
Valid driver's license
