Director of Quality and Risk
Clinical Management Consultants is seeking a Director of Quality and Risk for a highly recognized hospital. This role is focused on elevating quality, patient safety, and risk programs, overseeing various functions including quality management and regulatory compliance, while partnering with executive leadership to improve system-wide outcomes.

Responsibilities
Oversees quality, risk management, patient safety, infection prevention, employee health, regulatory compliance, and patient experience functions
Partners closely with executive leadership, medical staff officers, nursing directors, department managers, the liability insurance carrier, and the Board Quality Committee to advance system-wide outcomes
Leads an organization-wide service line that stewards the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement program, culture-of-safety initiatives, event management system, and survey readiness efforts
Engages clinicians, physicians, and operational leaders through interdisciplinary councils and performance improvement teams
Drives QAPI strategy, peer review support, RCAs and FMEAs, competency and education initiatives, infection prevention surveillance, and patient experience improvement
Ensures regulatory and accreditation readiness, manages grievance investigations and timely resolution, interfaces on claims and risk mitigation, oversees departmental budgets and dashboards, and presents outcomes to leadership and the board
Standardizes policies and procedures, facilitates training for survey readiness and emergency management, and leverages data to identify trends and sustain improvements
Qualification
Required
Collaborative healthcare leader
Experience in quality, risk management, patient safety, infection prevention, employee health, regulatory compliance, and patient experience functions
Ability to oversee quality analysts, risk and patient safety specialists, infection preventionists, and employee health clinicians
Experience partnering with executive leadership, medical staff officers, nursing directors, department managers, and the Board Quality Committee
Experience leading an organization-wide service line that stewards the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement program
Experience with culture-of-safety initiatives, event management system, and survey readiness efforts
Ability to engage clinicians, physicians, and operational leaders through interdisciplinary councils and performance improvement teams
Experience driving QAPI strategy, peer review support, RCAs and FMEAs, competency and education initiatives, infection prevention surveillance, and patient experience improvement
Ability to ensure regulatory and accreditation readiness
