CIVIL ENGINEER

Responsibilities

Project Design: Develop detailed engineering designs for municipal and site development projects, including grading, drainage, and utility layouts
Consultation: Provide site development consulting services, including feasibility studies and assessments for various land use projects
Floodplain Management: Assist in floodplain management and analysis, including preparation of floodplain studies and mapping
Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including planners, surveyors, and environmental scientists, to ensure project success
Regulatory Compliance: Prepare and submit applications for permits and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Technical Documentation: Produce technical reports, specifications, and construction documents to support project deliverables
Client Interaction: Engage with clients to understand their project needs and provide professional insights and solutions

Required

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
2+ years of experience in civil engineering, particularly in municipal services and site development
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, along with strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to clients and stakeholders effectively
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail in design and documentation
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred

Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred; Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in Pennsylvania, Delaware, or Maryland is a plus
