Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC equipment, including combination mill/lathe and drill line machines used for structural steel fabrication
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders to ensure accurate production of structural steel components
Use hand and power tools to perform machining and assembly tasks
Adjust machine settings to optimize performance and accuracy
Perform quality inspections on finished products to ensure they meet design and structural specifications
Troubleshoot machine issues and perform basic maintenance as needed
Record production data and maintain accurate documentation in Global Shop (ERP system)
Collaborate with team members to maintain a safe and efficient work environment
Qualification
Required
Experience in structural steel fabrication is required
Experience operating CNC equipment, specifically combination mill/lathe and drill line machines
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately
Proficiency with hand and power tools
Strong computer skills; experience with Global Shop or similar ERP systems is preferred
High attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on your feet for extended periods
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
