Responsibilities
Lead the monthly close across multiple entities with precision and urgency
Oversee reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and review processes
Bring structure to accounting operations that need standardization and cleanup
Strengthen internal controls, documentation, and consistency in reporting
Partner closely with leadership as roles and responsibilities across the team shift
Support external auditors and reduce unnecessary audit inefficiencies
Identify operational gaps and implement practical, sustainable improvements
Mentor existing staff while raising expectations for accuracy and accountability
Contribute to a wide range of special projects tied to cleanup, scaling, and reorganization
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
5 plus years of progressive experience with some supervisory responsibility
Strong technical foundation and the confidence to challenge what doesn't add up
Thrives in environments that are not yet polished or fully built
Operates independently without hand-holding
Comfortable setting boundaries and pushing back on over-managers
Clear communicator who keeps leadership aligned without unnecessary noise
Preferred
CPA or public accounting experience strongly preferred
