Responsibilities

To Maintain and promote the Tyson safety culture
Receive training as required
Perform various positions as required/assigned
Unload and wash all trailers, tankers and reefers
Monitor cookers and soap and wash all areas of the plant
Load trucks, maintain the control room and complete accurate paperwork
Check lubrication on machinery, change oil and belts on gear boxes
Perform equipment PM and auger inspections
Assist maintenance when needed while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures
Maintain clean work area by use of soap and high pressure water hose with 30 pounds of pressure or more
Obtain the certification and operate a forklift or skid-steer loader
Use basic hand tools and perform basic mechanical and maintenance skills such has mechanical troubleshooting, electrical troubleshooting, welding/fabrication, wiring, motor controls, and conveyor maintenance
Have basic computer skills
Read and understand policies, procedures and regulations
Document information
Communicate with others written and verbally

Required

Must be willing to work A, B, C or D shift
Applicants must be 18 years of age
Must have mechanical/maintenance skills listed in work history or skills section on application
Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
Must be able to obtain the certification and operate a forklift or skid-steer loader
Must be able to use basic hand tools and perform basic mechanical and maintenance skills such as mechanical troubleshooting, electrical troubleshooting, welding/fabrication, wiring, motor controls, and conveyor maintenance
Must have basic computer skills
Must have the ability to read and understand policies, procedures and regulations
Must have the ability to document information
Must have the ability to communicate with others written and verbally
