Responsibilities
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
Process accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll entries
Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring completeness and accuracy
Assist clients with month-end and year-end close procedures
Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to clients on financial performance
Submit payroll for clients, ensuring accuracy and timely processing
Travel to client locations for on-site bookkeeping and financial reporting support
Communicate effectively with clients, addressing accounting inquiries and providing recommendations
Support audits by preparing necessary documentation and working with auditors as needed
Stay up to date on accounting best practices and regulatory changes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
1-3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (experience in a public accounting firm is a plus)
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar platforms
Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles
Experience with payroll processing and submissions
Ability to travel to client locations as needed (valid driver's license and own transportation required)
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with clients professionally
Ability to work independently and manage multiple client accounts efficiently
Preferred
Experience with Not for Profits an added plus
