Responsibilities
Manage design, planning, budgeting, and execution of capital equipment and facility improvement projects
Support mechanical systems (piping, HVAC, chilled water, compressed air, etc.) and structural upgrades within the plant
Act as liaison for contractors, utilities, vendors, and internal stakeholders
Maintain plant layouts, utility drawings, and documentation for regulatory compliance
Champion safety, sustainability, and operational excellence initiatives
Serve as internal consultant on complex engineering challenges and site improvements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline required
Strong technical knowledge of industrial utilities and building systems
Proficient in project scoping, budgeting, scheduling, and contractor oversight
Hands-on engineering aptitude with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
Preferred
Experience in a union manufacturing environment is a plus
