Senior Director Government Partnerships
CHAMP is redefining technology for Motor Vehicle Agencies with innovative cloud-based software. The Senior Director of Government Partnerships will lead the sales team, develop relationships with government partners, and drive new business growth primarily within state DMVs and related agencies.
Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and scale the Government Partnerships / Sales team, setting performance standards, KPIs, and development plans
Own the public-sector go-to-market strategy, including territory planning, pipeline development, and revenue forecasting
Drive alignment across Sales, Marketing, Product, and Implementation to ensure success in long-cycle enterprise deals
Build and maintain strategic relationships with senior officials within state motor vehicle agencies and other government partners
Serve as a trusted advisor on digital government modernization, title automation, and technology-enabled transformation
Oversee the full sales cycle—from initial outreach through RFP response, stakeholder engagement, contracting, and handoff to implementation
Develop a deep understanding of government motor vehicle operations, title and registration workflows, and associated regulatory environments
Identify market trends, funding opportunities, and modernization priorities that can shape product and sales strategies
Represent Champ Titles at conferences, government association events, and industry forums
Ensure CRM discipline, pipeline accuracy, and data-driven decision-making across the team
Partner with Marketing on demand-generation strategies, campaigns, and content that resonate with public-sector leaders
Collaborate with Product to communicate customer needs, regulatory requirements, and market feedback
Qualification
Required
8+ years of enterprise sales experience, including at least 5 years selling to government entities (state government preferred)
Proven track record leading or managing high-performing sales teams
Experience navigating long government procurement cycles, RFP processes, and multi-stakeholder engagements
Strong executive presence and the ability to build trust with senior government officials
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Familiarity with SaaS, digital transformation, or GovTech solutions
Preferred
Experience working with motor vehicle agencies, transportation departments, departments of revenue, or related public-sector domains
Understanding of vehicle titling, registration, lien processes, or comparable operational workflows
Prior involvement in policy, regulatory, or enterprise modernization projects at the state level
Demonstrated ability to grow a market or expand into new states
