They are seeking a Lead Mechanical Technician to oversee mechanical projects from concept to completion, leading teams and coordinating with engineers to deliver high-quality results.

Responsibilities

Perform and oversee assembly, troubleshooting, prototyping, and light fabrication in shop and field settings and lead projects as assigned
Lead and oversee projects and teams
Install structural steel, columns, supports, etc
Install a variety of conduit and pipe such as threaded, grooved, flanged, etc
Assist Project Managers and others in gathering information for quotes and bids
Identify potential issues and opportunities for Change Orders and communicate with Project Managers and other Engineering personnel
Interpret mechanical drawings and documentation for custom machines, systems, and products and red-line as necessary
Assist with the oversight and scheduling of training and development of Mechanical Technicians
Assist with scheduling personnel to meet project needs and enhance individual skillsets

Required

8+ years' experience in a role requiring industrial mechanical applications and installations preferred
2+ years' experience in a leadership role overseeing both projects and small groups of people
Valid driver's license required
Possess basic welding certifications and ability to pass a weld test
Proficient with the selection and use of hand and power tools and equipment
Experience with providing quality customer service
