Member/Vendor Relations and Event Manager
The Northwest Nursery Buyers Association is seeking a qualified individual to oversee and maintain their member and vendor relationships while coordinating meetings and events. This role requires strong communication and leadership skills, focusing on relationship building and collaboration.
Responsibilities
New Member Recruiting
Member and Vendor Visits
Vendor Renewals
Plan all Meetings, Tours, and Events
Coordinate and maintain sponsorships
Promote NNBA through our website, trade shows, and other functions
Assist NNBA Team with duties and needs during peak season
Qualification
Required
Thorough understanding of the retail gardening business from different perspectives
Professional experience in various aspects of the horticulture industry
Experience working with small business owners, understanding their needs and goals
Excellent interpersonal and exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously; strong organizational skills
Excellent customer service skills
Detail oriented, self-starter; able to accomplish tasks on a timeline
Ability to lead and direct others during events and shows
Ability to promote a cooperative, networking environment and connect members and vendors
Initiative and motivation to take on projects and events with intent to improve
Financial skills necessary for preparing and executing event budgets
Computer skills necessary to work within company databases and programs, update and maintain the NNBA website, and create and execute Constant Contact communications
Willingness to travel to meet with members and vendors throughout the Pacific Northwest
