They are seeking a Temporary Park Maintenance Technician responsible for general park maintenance, cleaning public facilities, and providing customer service to park visitors.

Responsibilities

Responsible for all general park maintenance and cleaning of public facilities including: restrooms, showers, vault toilets, cabins & yurts, campsites, picnic areas, trails, etc
Operates and performs routine maintenance on State owned vehicles and equipment
Assures quality customer service and facility maintenance, repair and cleanliness
Provides information and assistance to visitors
May assist with carpentry, plumbing, masonry, electrical work and transporting materials and supplies
Performs other duties as assigned

Power tool knowledgeSmall engine maintenanceFirst Aid certificationInterpersonal communicationWork independently

Required

Must be at least 16 years of age
If position requires operation of a motorized vehicle, must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a current motor vehicle report
Willing to work outside during inclement weather
Must be able to lift 75-100 pounds repeatedly during the course of a single workday
Knowledge of power tool and hand tools preferred
Knowledge of small engine and other equipment maintenance and repair preferred
First Aid and CPR certifications may be required
Must be able to work various shifts, weekends and holidays
Possess strong interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work with little supervision
