Responsibilities

Develop React Native components to support cross-platform (iOS & Android) onboarding, geolocation tracking, streaks, nature-time goals, and social encouragement features
Implement integrations with device-level features like GPS, notifications, and basic health APIs to help users visualize their “nature dose.”
Work with UX, functional medicine, public health, and nature immersion researchers to translate evidence-based wellbeing strategies into intuitive design and interactions
Solve real-world edge cases: offline access, urban vs. rural park detection, accessibility for mobility constraints, etc
Participate in and support a collaborative, learning-driven engineering culture—code reviews, documentation, architectural clarity, and respectful dialogue

Required

Experience with React Native (Expo or Bare), React Hooks, and mobile debugging on Android/iOS

Preferred

Maps and geolocation integration
Experience with notifications or background tasks
Curiosity or experience with public health or behavioral science
Nature-based therapies or environmental psychology
