Responsibilities
Translating architectural concepts into clear, build-ready drawings for residential and light commercial remodeling projects
Collaborating directly with designers, project managers, and clients to refine layouts, solve design challenges, and improve constructability
Developing and managing plans in Chief Architect from concept through permit and construction
Ensuring drawings align with building codes, field conditions, and real-world construction practices
Revising and evolving designs as projects develop—your ideas won’t stop at first draft
Managing multiple projects while maintaining accuracy, clarity, and deadlines
Qualification
Required
architectural drafting and design training
fluency in Chief Architect or similar CAD software
ability to translate architectural concepts into clear, build-ready drawings
collaboration skills with designers, project managers, and clients
understanding of building codes, field conditions, and real-world construction practices
ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining accuracy, clarity, and deadlines
good communication skills
pride in work and enjoyment of being part of a collaborative team
Preferred
degree in architectural or design education
experience in residential or light commercial remodeling
