Responsibilities
Program, optimize, and troubleshoot Swiss-style CNC lathes using Esprit, Mastercam, or equivalent software
Develop machining strategies, tool paths, and setups for complex aerospace parts
Interpret detailed aerospace blueprints, GD&T, and customer specs with precision
Select tools, holders, fixtures, and cutting parameters to maximize output and quality
Work side-by-side with operators to train, support, and elevate machining performance
Improve processes to reduce cycle times, minimize scrap, and increase machine uptime
Ensure full compliance with AS9100/ISO 9001 requirements, documentation, and FAI standards
Qualification
Required
3+ years of CNC programming with proven Swiss lathe experience (Citizen, Star, Tsugami, Tornos, etc.)
Strong command of CAD/CAM programming — Esprit or Mastercam preferred, others welcome
Deep understanding of G-code/M-code and multi-axis machining
Experience in aerospace, defense, or other tight-tolerance machining environments
Solid knowledge of GD&T, first article inspection, and machining best practices
A hands-on problem solver who enjoys collaborating with operators and engineering teams
Strong communication skills, process-driven mindset, and commitment to quality
