The Vice President – Underwriter will be responsible for processing various Borrower consents and overseeing the underwriting of complex transactions while managing the entire Lender consent process.

Responsibilities
Perform or oversee contractors' underwriting of transactions and consents
Ensure that Lenders' and Investors' credit standards are maintained and that identified risks are properly mitigated
Effectively and continually communicate with all concerned parties, including Berkadia Mortgage Bankers, regarding the progress of underwriting and approval processes
Maintain a pipeline of approximately 25–35 transactions, ensuring all deals progress in accordance with document and Servicing Agreement requirements, as well as Borrower expectations
Assist in the development of team members in our India offices
Manage all escalated and complex issues, elevating them to Senior Management when appropriate
Manage relationships with external legal counsel, vendors, clients, investors, and internal customers
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Expertise in commercial real estate finance, servicing operations, and mortgage documentation
Strong written, oral, and negotiation skills
Excellent research, analytical, and organizational skills with a focus on time management and results
Proficient in Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Ginnie Mae, HUD, and CMBS guidelines
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
5-7+ years of experience in a similar position
Preferred
HUD, CMBS, or CLO experience highly preferred
