$135K/yr - $140K/yrProFound Staffing is working with a growing manufacturing and distribution company in Tomball, Texas that’s seeking a hands-on Director of Infrastructure & Security to lead a focused portfolio of infrastructure and security modernization initiatives. This role is designed around reducing security risk, simplifying identity and access, modernizing infrastructure, and supporting growth across multiple locations.

Responsibilities
Lead the effort to remove public internet exposure from RDS by implementing secure, VPN-based access
Design and implement identity consolidation between Active Directory and Azure AD (Entra ID)
Implement user self-service identity tools (password reset, account unlock, MFA registration)
Prepare the environment for modern access controls and device trust
Lead network and site standardization across all locations, including recently acquired companies (US & Canada)
Define and enforce baseline standards for firewalls, Wi-Fi, and network equipment
Support the cleanup and replacement of inherited or non-standard infrastructure
Lead the migration from file servers to SharePoint and OneDrive
Remove file servers and related dependencies (including print server models)
Plan and execute the elimination of on-prem servers, starting with the Tomball location
Reduce infrastructure footprint while improving resiliency and security
Upgrade Remote Desktop Services hosts from Windows Server 2016
Upgrade RDS Office from Office 2016 to Microsoft 365 Apps
Ensure application compatibility and stable user experience during upgrades
Oversee and optimize: Barracuda XDR, Automox patching, RingCentral VoIP, Exchange Online / Outlook
Serve as the escalation on point for complex infrastructure and security issues
Improve monitoring, documentation, and operational maturity over me
Qualification
Required
Candidate must have the proof of the right to work in the United States
Unable to provide or transfer H1B Visa sponsorship now or in the future
Unable to provide relocation assistance in the Houston, TX area
Unable to work with Candidates on a C2C basis with third-party Employers
Strong experience with Active Directory and Azure AD (Entra ID)
Experience consolidating or modernizing identity environments
Hands-on Microsoft 365 administration on, including Exchange Online
Experience designing secure remote access solutions (VPN, MFA, firewall policy)
Strong networking fundamentals (firewalls, routing, switching, Wi-Fi)
Ability to standardize networks across multiple sites
Experience migrating from on-prem servers to cloud-based services
Experience with file server → SharePoint/OneDrive migrations
Strong Windows Server and virtualization background (Azure IaaS, VMware/Hyper-V)
Experience implementing or managing MDM solutions (Intune preferred)
Familiarity with device compliance, security baselines, and access enforcement
Hands-on experience managing Remote Desktop Services environments
Experience upgrading RDS operating systems and application stacks
Preferred
Experience in multi-site or acquisition-driven environments
Familiarity with Barracuda XDR, Automox, Duo, UniFi, RingCentral
Experience reducing legacy infrastructure and technical debt
Comfort working in lean IT teams with high ownership and accountability
