This role provides hands-on experience supporting Project Managers and Superintendents on complex civil projects with a strong emphasis on earthwork, utilities, and public agency compliance.

Responsibilities
Support field operations by assisting with plan interpretation, layout verification, and line and grade checks
Assist with coordination of earthwork, grading, underground utilities, and drainage systems
Manage project documentation in Procore, including RFIs, submittals, drawings, and material tracking
Prepare and process RFIs to resolve design conflicts and clarify construction details
Perform quantity take-offs and support pay applications and cost tracking
Coordinate and track geotechnical, soil, and materials testing activities
Support safety compliance related to trenching, traffic control, and work around heavy equipment
Interface with field crews, subcontractors, inspectors, and utility agencies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business Management, or a related field
2 years of experience in civil or heavy construction (internships or co-ops accepted)
Experience using Procore or similar construction project management software
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to adapt to changing field conditions and priorities
ProCore: 1 year (Required)
Ability to Commute: Burnet, TX 78611 (Required)
Work Location: In person
Preferred
Hands-on experience managing RFIs, submittals, and drawings in Procore
Exposure to geotechnical or construction materials testing
Familiarity with public works standards (DOT, municipal, AASHTO, FHWA)
