HB Strategies is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Legislative Intern to support our lobbying and advocacy efforts during the 2026 Oklahoma Legislative Session. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates interested in government, public policy, political strategy, or legislative affairs who want real-world exposure to the legislative process in a fast-paced environment.

Government Relations

Responsibilities

Track legislation: Monitor bills as they move through committees and floor sessions; track amendments, key developments, and vote outcomes

Attend hearings and meetings: Observe committee hearings, floor debates, stakeholder meetings, and briefings; take clear, accurate notes

Conduct research: Support policy research on legislation, legislators, interest groups, and regulatory trends

Draft communications: Assist with policy summaries, talking points, internal memos, and weekly client reports

Support relationship management: Help maintain legislative contact lists, meeting schedules, and outreach tracking

Assist with client support: Prepare materials for meetings, provide issue follow-ups, and support client communications

Provide administrative support: Assist with scheduling, event coordination, document organization, and day-to-day operational needs during session
