Responsibilities
Providing accurate, timely and effective provision of laboratory support
Exhibit excellent customer service skills in line with the Mercy Signature Service
Skillful acquisition of laboratory specimens for testing
Utilizing safe, accurate, effective, professional methodologies while observing HIPAA confidentiality requirements and lab policies
Responsible for all processing, transport and referral of all types of laboratory specimens and reports as required
Must be observed by laboratory management or designee and complete all departmental checklists for the LST I position
Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards
Qualification
Required
High school diploma, G.E.D, or enrolled in a healthcare career program through their high school curriculum
Successful completion of probationary period
No active disciplinary actions or active performance improvement plans
Preferred
College level Chemistry, Biology or other Science courses
Previous experience in a clinical laboratory
