Responsibilities

Acts as a clinical expert in the orientation and competency development of nursing caregivers in collaboration with department leadership, preceptors, and clinical education
Facilitates ongoing education related to changes in current treatments and practices
Facilitates the implementation of new or revised policies/protocols, initiatives, continuous improvement projects and program goals
Assesses and evaluates the learning needs of nursing caregivers and collaborates with clinical education and department leadership to address identified gaps
Promotes patient and caregiver safety through utilization of the nursing process, current standards and guidelines, and care requirements of the patient population
Contributes to an environment that encourages continuous learning, application of knowledge, critical thinking, and application of research
Serves as a clinical practice expert and provides mentorship to nursing caregivers to promote recruitment, retention, and inclusivity
Reports to the Manager of Clinical Education or Manager of Transition to Practice
This position may have additional or varied physical demand and/or respiratory fit test requirements

Qualification

Oklahoma RN LicensureBachelors in NursingAcute Care ExperienceBLS CertificationACLS CertificationPALS CertificationNRP CertificationEffective CommunicationMentorship SkillsContinuous Learning

Required

Current active Oklahoma Registered Nurse Licensure
Current RN licensure from a state participating in the multistate privilege to practice compact with Oklahoma
Bachelors degree in Nursing
Minimum five (5) years recent acute care clinical experience
Current certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP as appropriate for clinical specialty
Must be able to communicate effectively in English

Preferred

Masters in nursing or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in specified area of specialty, or eligibility for APRN certification
ANCC National Certification in practice area
