Responsibilities
Manages contracts and LIS registrations; maintains documentation
Accurately places patient orders and verifies patient identity
Labels and processes specimens appropriately, including send-outs to reference labs
Assesses specimen acceptability and supports cost containment efforts
Creates a patient-centered, caring environment
Builds positive relationships with staff and departments
Answers calls promptly and courteously; communicates results and collection details clearly
Prints, reviews, and distributes computer reports; resolves issues and makes corrections
Maintains adequate supply levels in assigned areas
Ensures safety and adherence to hospital policies
Maintains quality assurance and reports concerns
Meets all competency requirements, including population-specific standards
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma
Less than one year of previous job-related experience
