Responsibilities

Determine where state of the art sampling and MPC based planning will complement state of the art ML models for the next generation of commercial robotic applications

Create software that will be used on robots around the world (and in outer space!)

Design singular solutions that fulfill multiple use cases and personally write the code to bring innovative ideas to life

Required

MS in Robotics, Computer Science, a related robotics-focused field and/or equivalent industry experience

Minimum 3 years of professional work experience

Strong C++17 (or newer) experience and familiarity with at least one scripting language, preferably Python

Experience with robot arm hardware integration, such as trajectory controller development and driver development for commercial hardware

Be able to travel to Boulder, CO 1-2 times every year

Preferred

Experience with multiple robot description formats, such as URDF, MJCF, and USD

Experience with ros2_control hardware interfaces for 500+ Hz drivers

Previous projects involving ROS 2, MoveIt 2, Nav 2, Mujoco, or other robotic libraries

Experience with full life-cycle library and application development, Git version control, software testing, and continuous integration

Understanding of cross-platform, multi-language package management tools such as Pixi
