Supervisor - Instrument Processing

Responsibilities

Coordinate the activities of the sterile processing department
Responsible for the cleaning, decontamination, maintenance and preservation, and sterile processing of all instruments, equipment, and non-sterile supplies
Organize and implement staff education
Complete staff schedules and assignments
Document regulatory reports for QI
Organize the instrument and processing needs with all new service lines
Identify and implement quality improvement initiatives
Schedule all service activities on equipment and instruments
Maintain sterile processing policies and procedures

Qualification

IAHCSMM certificationCBSPD certificationCRCST certificationSterile processing experienceTeam collaborationCommunication skillsProblem-solving attitude

Required

High School Diploma or GED required
Current IAHCSMM or CBSPD certification required
Must obtain within six (6) months from hire, Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) certification

Preferred

Three (3) years of current sterile processing experience preferred
