Title Administrator
United Recovery & Remarketing is a leader in the repossession and remarketing industry, seeking a Title Administrator to manage the full lifecycle of vehicle titles. The role involves ensuring compliance with state regulations, processing titles efficiently, and providing support to internal teams and customers regarding title status.

Responsibilities
Process, verify, and audit titles for retail, wholesale, auction, and fleet transactions
Ensure all paperwork meets state and federal guidelines, including odometer statements, lien releases, power of attorney forms, and reassignment documents
Review titles for errors or discrepancies and resolve issues proactively with sellers, financial institutions, state agencies, and internal teams
Submit and track title work through electronic systems (e.g., CVR, Vitu, DealerTrack, state portals)
Manage out-of-state title transactions, ensuring compliance with differing state requirements
Monitor and maintain title aging reports to reduce outstanding or delayed titles
Prepare, process, and route titles for vehicles going to or coming from auction
Communicate with auction representatives to resolve title issues or delays
Confirm accurate buyer/seller information and ensure timely title release
Maintain title packets for auction sales, arbitration requirements, and sale-day paperwork
Provide accurate updates to internal teams, customers, dealerships, and lienholders regarding title status
Assist sales and finance departments with documentation and compliance questions
Handle escalated or complex title situations professionally and promptly
Maintain meticulous digital and physical filing systems for titles and supporting documents
Conduct routine audits of title inventory for accuracy and security
Prepare monthly reports, reconciling title statuses for management review
Qualification
Required
Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a title clerk in a dealership, auction, or high-volume automotive environment
Strong knowledge of state DMV/DOR title regulations, including out-of-state title processing
Ability to read, review, and interpret complex title documents (reassignments, MSOs, liens, etc.)
High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
Proficient with dealership management systems (DMS), electronic title submission platforms, and Microsoft Office
Preferred
Notary Public certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification with employer support
Experience with auction environments or multi-state title processing
Familiarity with arbitration processes, post-sale inspections, and auction title timelines
