Responsibilities

Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates for network cabling systems, including materials, labor, expenses (travel, parking, tooling, etc)
Support the development of bid proposals in alignment with project budgets and timelines
Review basic project documents to include schedules, drawings, and specifications to understand the scope of work
Identify and document project requirements under the guidance of senior estimators
Create a Scope of work document for the customer clarity as well as for the Operations team to perform to
Obtain pricing from vendors for materials and equipment
Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to support competitive pricing
Collaborate with sales, project managers and engineers to ensure estimates meet project needs
Provide clear and organized documentation for all estimates and related information
Stay updated on industry standards, emerging technologies, and best practices in network cabling
Participate in training and mentorship programs to enhance technical and estimation skills

Required

1-2 years experience estimating network cabling projects
Strong foundational knowledge of network cabling systems, materials and installation practices (copper and fiber cabling and pathways)
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Bluebeam Revu (or similar)
Detail oriented
Must be self-motivated, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
Possess problem solving skills, critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively read, write and present the information you have put together in bid responses
Must be able to read and interpret project drawings, specifications and other project documents
Manage multiple projects/estimates and keep all project details separately organized
Ability to read and understand construction drawings, specification documents and technical documents

Preferred

Associate's Degree in Construction Management, Telecommunications or a related field
1-year Structured Cabling industry experience preferred
