Summer Law Student Internship - Alamosa
Colorado Legal Services (CLS) is Colorado’s statewide nonprofit legal aid program, providing civil legal assistance to low-income Coloradans. The Alamosa office offers law student interns the opportunity to work hands-on with clients in various legal areas while participating in community outreach activities.

Responsibilities
Draft letters and simple motions for review
Assist with hearing preparation, memos, legal research, client communication, and case management
Participate in and conduct client interviews and assist the staff with identifying legal issues in our clients’ cases
If appropriate, advocate in court under the Law Student Practice requirements
Qualification
Required
Strong commitment to legal issues affecting low-income individuals
Strong interest in research, writing and interviewing
Candidate should be confident and able to work both independently and as part of a team
Preferred
Spanish-speaking ability
