Senior System Analyst
Robert Half Technology is seeking a Business Systems Analyst III to join a high-impact Business Intelligence team focused on turning complex business questions into clear, actionable reporting and analytics. This role partners closely with business stakeholders to capture requirements, translate them into functional designs, and drive delivery of Power BI reporting solutions backed by Snowflake and SQL-based data platforms.
Responsibilities
Lead requirements elicitation efforts by interviewing stakeholders, capturing the business problem precisely, and defining a clear future “to be” state that aligns with enterprise objectives
Manage and prioritize requirements to focus on the smallest set that delivers the greatest business impact; assess solution risks across multiple applications and processes
Translate requirements into functional specifications with end-to-end traceability, partnering with technical teams to ensure solutions satisfy business needs and constraints
Design BI/reporting solutions with usability in mind, incorporating UI best practices and ensuring performance from the end-user perspective
Develop compelling business cases by clearly articulating the impact of business problems, expected benefits, and solution value to key stakeholders
Ensure solutions align to technology and delivery standards, collaborating with architecture partners as needed and applying consistent methodologies across projects
Drive business requirements testing and validation by creating use cases, documenting results, and building reusable test suites
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Business Management, or equivalent related experience
5+ years of BI tools/platforms experience and trends
5+ years working with relational databases and SQL (data analysis, data structures, report development, requirements analysis)
4+ years of Power BI experience
Strong experience with Snowflake and SQL-based database systems; ability to derive insights across disparate datasets
Excellent communication skills across business stakeholders, peers, vendors, and leadership; strong customer service mindset
Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Windows; familiarity with collaboration tools such as SharePoint
Preferred
2+ years of metals industry experience
