They are seeking a Commercial Business Operations Underwriting Intern to assist underwriting teams by updating policies, processing nonrenewals, and tracking data, while gaining valuable corporate experience.

Assist our underwriting teams by updating policies
Processing nonrenewals
Reinstating policies
Helping to track data
Assisting the underwriting teams in completing policy tasks
Assisting with other projects as needed
Qualification
Required
Be a current college student (junior or senior preferred) studying Risk Management and/or Insurance
A quick learner who is looking to learn new concepts and ideas, and able to learn basic understanding of commercial insurance policies
Strong computer skills are required to quickly learn our multiple systems
Effective communicator, excellent customer service skills, and team focused
Must be detail oriented and willing to ask questions
Be dependable and available to work full time (8am-4:30pm Monday through Friday) during the summer of 2026 from our office in West Des Moines, Iowa
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent basis
Preferred
Familiarity with Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel
