Illustrative Mathematics is dedicated to creating a world where all learners know, use, and enjoy mathematics. We are seeking a strategic, innovative video content creator to help elevate IM’s voice and strengthen our community presence online by implementing our social media video strategy and producing engaging multimedia content.

Education

Responsibilities

Develop and implement social media video aligned to IM’s priorities

Produce short-form multimedia content (chiefly vertical video) to engage target audiences and elevate educator and student voices

Leverage video content to support building online community engagement with educators who use IM® Math and those who do not yet use IM

Closely coordinate with Marketing, Communications, and Creative teams to ensure alignment and integration

Request input from SMEs and curriculum writers to ensure accuracy when needed

Track and report on social media analytics and optimize based on findings

Attend weekly meetings to stay informed about the organization's social media strategy and how it relates to video content creation

Links to TikTok, Reels, or Shorts they created and produced

A link to a social media channel that they have personally managed the growth of to at least 1,000 followers

Strong track record managing social media campaigns and content creation, with demonstrated impact on Facebook/Instagram Reels, TikTok, and/or YouTube Shorts, on your own channels or working on behalf of other channels

Expertise in short-form video production for social media (vertical formats required) using professional editing software (Premiere, Final Cut, CapCut, or equivalent)

Knowledge of platform trends and ability to adapt them responsibly for an education/nonprofit organization brand

Strong scriptwriting skills

Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction and supervision

Excellent written and verbal communication; able to deliver clear, concise information tailored to specific and varied audiences

Intermediate proficiency using Google Workspace applications and Slack for communication
