LHH is seeking a Director of Accounting on behalf of a rapidly expanding, multi-location healthcare organization. This role requires a seasoned accounting leader with deep experience in healthcare financial operations and GAAP reporting, responsible for overseeing the accounting team and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Responsibilities

Oversee preparation of timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP

Ensure compliance with private equity reporting requirements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual packages

Manage external audit processes, including coordination with auditors and preparation of schedules

Oversee annual tax-related activities in partnership with third-party providers

Lead daily accounting functions including AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger

Develop, refine, and enforce accounting policies and procedures

Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close

Establish and monitor strong internal controls to protect company assets

Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of financial processes

Drive best practices to support ongoing organizational growth

Assist with due diligence and integration efforts for acquisitions

Partner with practice-level accounting teams to implement NetSuite and train on accrual accounting

Conduct monthly reviews with acquired or transitioning locations

Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team

Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence

Recruit and retain strong talent aligned with the organization’s financial goals
