Responsibilities
Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity
Monitor and report any suspicious persons, vehicles, or activities in and around the location
Control access to restricted areas and verify credentials as required by site policies
Maintain clear and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences
Operate communication devices to coordinate with Allied Universal and site personnel as needed
Follow all instructions and protocols related to the handling of firearms and other security-related equipment in accordance with company and site-specific guidelines
Assist with crowd management and/or emergency evacuations if necessary
Remain alert and prepared to respond to any security-related threats or emergencies within the location
Qualification
Required
Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience
Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED
Be at least 21 years of age
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Participate in industry-specific security training programs
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
Customer service experience is preferred
An armed guard card or license is preferred
