2+ years expZing Recruiting is seeking an Accountant to provide department level support for general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other accounting functions. The role involves ensuring department goals and objectives are achieved in alignment with policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
Complete accounting work per US GAAP guidelines
Prepares and enters journal entries related to financial activity and transactions as needed
Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Support the monthly financial close process
Complete bank statement reconciliations
Maintain prepaid expense accounts including journal entries and supporting documentation
Reconcile and prepare daily posting of sales invoices and cash receipts
Complete online banking responsibilities including printing bank deposits and initiating wire payments for approval
Collect customer credit applications
Complete new vendor setups &/or vendor changes
File annual 1099s
Review AP invoices for sales tax and file annual reports
Prepare various monthly financial close reports
Assist and support department initiatives and process improvements
Support &/or participate in special projects and research as needed
Assist and support reporting and process changes as needed
Perform essential job duties of Sr. Accounts Payable Specialist or Financial Analyst, if needed, in their absence
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Effective communication skills, verbal and written, to communicate with internal and external customers
Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite programs
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work performed
The ability to adjust to changing work demands and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Ability to take initiative to maintain confidentiality, to meet deadlines and to work in a team environment
Dedication to learning and cultivating new skill sets
Results driven, strong work ethic
Completion of college or business school accounting classes
Proficiency in using accounting software
Preferred
An associate degree in business preferred but not required
A bachelors degree in business would be a plus
Two years accounting experience in multiple areas of accounting preferred - general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable
Experience with an ERP accounting system would be a plus
