DSG Supply is seeking an Accounts Receivable Associate in their Fargo, ND branch. The role involves performing a variety of accounts receivable duties, including coordinating collection efforts and assisting the Credit Manager with assessing credit risk for customers.

Responsibilities

Manage the credit applications process

Post customer payments by recording cash, check, and credit transactions

Update customer accounts

Post revenues by verifying and entering transactions from lock box and local deposits

Update receivables by totaling unpaid invoices

Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential

Monitor customer accounts

Validate tax exemption certificates and customer tax status

Resolve disputes on customer accounts

Update computer system with latest information on customer accounts

Notify customers of NSF checks and collect payments

Assist customers with solving credit problems

Stay current on laws and regulations pertaining to collections, bankruptcy, bonds, liens and judgments

Maintain appropriate documents, documentation and other information in the customer credit file

Support the credit management team and their requests

Perform other ad hoc accounting and finance duties as assigned

Required

Previous data entry experience

Prior experience in Accounts Payable/Receivable and/or Accounting

Strong attention to detail and an ability to produce accurate work product while handling multiple tasks

The skills necessary to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers

An innate ability to stay organized, manage time, and consistently meet deadlines

Preferred

An associate degree or higher in Finance or Accounting

Experience with various accounting systems and software, such as Eclipse, BillTrust and Microsoft Office Suite, including proficiency in Excel
