Responsibilities

Design and build API integrations to extract trial balances, transactions, and other financial data from external accounting systems
Implement and maintain connectors using Python, JavaScript, and C#/.NET client libraries
Normalize inconsistent or complex API outputs into a defined financial data model
Debug and troubleshoot third-party API issues to ensure reliable data ingestion
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a remote-first environment
Contribute to broader backend engineering initiatives as integrations evolve into long-term ingestion pipelines

Required

3+ years of experience building and supporting commercial software products
Strong experience with API integrations and data ingestion workflows
Proficiency in Python or JavaScript, with backend experience in C#/.NET
Experience working with accounting or ERP systems and financial data concepts (e.g., trial balance, general ledger, transactions)
Ability to transform messy or inconsistent data into clean, structured models
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills when working with external APIs
Comfortable working in a remote-first, asynchronous environment

Preferred

Experience with API orchestration platforms (e.g., Pipedream Connect)
